In his mind Mias knew he should reach out and take Gabriel’s hand. To be given the opportunity to discover the weakness of the infamous Lord of Dragons was an opportunity few would let escape. If he could defeat one of the most horrific creatures in the world, thousands would be avenged and even more saved from his future tyranny. But something held Mias’ hand steady. “Take my hand.” Gabriel said, stretching out her palm to him. The altar thrummed with power beneath their feet, it was almost suffocating to be so close to, why had Gabriel chosen to keep this ability a secret from him? Was it that she didn't trust him?

   They were walking home. Mias felt Gabriel’s arms locked around him. Her hair looked beautiful up so elegantly and her dress looked stunning and outlined her fine figure. Everything had begun to come together. "Keep everyone safe" he said, repeating her words slowly as he fixed his eyes deep into hers.   So the villagers were alive? Were they not on this island?
